This is a rather famous intake for 302 motors as a direct fit upgrade over stock! Jet washed, sonic tanked and HEAT painted.
This is a direct bolt on upgrade for 87-93 ford mustang fox bodys and Sn95 V8 mustangs. THIS INTAKE HAS ALREADY HAD THE #5 INTAKE RUNNER DRILLED FOR THE STOCK IAT SENSOR LIKE FOXBODY HAD IN THE LOWER INTAKE!
This intake will also fit right on a 94-95 mustang but requires a 3/8th NPT plug the sensor hole. The SN95 will also need the Elbow for the TB. Fits All mustang 302 EFI 5.0 mustang engines and their fuel rails, PCV, injectors and other sensors will bolt right on along with the EGR and TB. Will also fit other cars like cougars and Tbirds that used the 5.0 HO engine however there may be hood clearance issues? The intake has a few extra vacuums over stock but you can just plug them.Pretty much a direct fit for fox body and SN95. This is an excellent upgrade to the EFI 5.0 mustangs giving it anywhere between 25-40 more HP over stock and flow more air. These intakes actual OUTFLOW GT40 Tubular AND cobra OEM intakes. Look at the last picture, you'll see the flow bench on them from 5.0 mustang magazine that did a test between all 3 intake uppers.
Comes with the 6 OEM style bolts and a new or used stock GT40 intake gasket. Gasket may be reuseable im just throwing it in for free. As you can see the TB intake area is 69MM in size will fit 65mm-70mm TB with out much problems.
Two things I did want to mention. 1 Does NOT come with a upper intake cover.Your foxbody one will fit on it just fine 2 The EGR housing that has coolant passage thru it will not hook up to this intake. The boss is there to tap and put a fitting in but to be honest you shouldn't be running coolant thru your TB anyways. That design was for cold weather start up and most of us don't run these in cold weather anymore. I CAN PAINT THIS INTAKE DEFAULT ALUMINUM, BLACK, BLUE, RED, NEW FORD GRAY (SAME AS STOCK ALMOST). THE EXPLORER TB IS MUCH LARGER THAN THE STOCK SIZED TB AND BOLTS RIGHT ON LIKE THE STOCK ONE INCLUDING THE TPS AND IAC VALVES JUST BOLT RIGHT ON. I HAVE ALSO CNC'D THE STOCK FOX BODY EGR SPACER TO MATCH THE TB AND INTAKE PERFECTLY. THIS OPTION COMES WITH THE STOCK FELPRO GASKETS TO MATCH THE TB AND SPACER TOO.
